Depending on the final products being produced, petrochemical plants can have many different configurations and may require a wide range of flows, pressures, and operating temperatures. To deal with these most difficult operations, petrochemical processors have been turning to Elliott for world-class solutions.

Petrochemical processing involves converting a feedstock (generally natural gas or petroleum) into raw syngas or other primary petrochemicals such as olefins (ethylene, propylene and butadiene), aromatics (benzene, toluene, and xylenes); and methanol. These primary petrochemicals are converted into intermediate and derivative products such as polymers, linear low density chemicals, polyethylene, ethylene glycol and ethylene oxide.
